Recent probes bring in concerning information.
On Friday, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration released details of two investigations into 215,000 Volkswagen vehicles, both their main brand and their luxury brand, Audi. They found consistent complaints and field reports that spoke of gasoline leaks near the engines of the 3.6-liter models.
The NHTSA probe into Volkswagen brought back three of those complaints and 11 field reports. The probe into Audi received 58 complaints and three field reports of engine stalling due to gas leaks. The company has responded by saying that any Volkwagen owner who smells gasoline while driving should head to their local dealer immediately. There has not been a recall yet.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the officials of the NHTSA as they investigate the complaints.
- For Americans’ safety on the roads and highways.
- For the Department of Transportation as they seek to enforce regulations on car companies.
